At the Los Angeles Marathon (Now the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon), MPA has worked since 2013 with a variety of substrates to execute a complex plan comprising more than 24,000 total square feet of signage. Rigid PVC is at the heart of the visual display, covering the main start and finish trusses, but Coroplast and Gatorplast boards, self-adhesive vinyl, solid and mesh vinyl banner materials, and dye-sublimated fabric, all find their way into the mix.
MPA's on-the-ground capabilities are also highlighted in LA. Not only do we print all the signage, but we put it up and take it down as well. In fact, MPA is charged with pre and post-event inventory and storage, including triage, to determine which signs need to replaced or can be re-used for the following year. We use a combination of a crack natonal team of managers and local staffers -- in 2014 and '15 our crew include a union carpenter and a guy who builds sets for movies in Hollywood. Forgive us while we brag: there is simply no better field team in the country.
"I speak on behalf of all members of our staff when I say how much we enjoy working with the MPA team," said Marathon Marketing and Branding VP Carsten Preiz. "The pride and professionalism you bring to one of the most important pieces of our big puzzle are greatly appreciated. It's invaluable to know that when you say, 'We have this one,' that you in fact you do"
